Desert Dance

We saw a series of Rajasthani folk dances peformed, inside a havalli house that's been converted into a museum. Here they're performing a traditional Thar Desert dance ladies are supposed to do when they find water in the well after a rain. The village women we work fetch water in such clothing, behind veils, toting it in tanks on their heads. But I've yet to see them burst into dance!
