Early morning light hits Varanasi, India's holiest city, on the Ganges river. People go to do puja (pray) and swim in the river, as its believed one dip will wash away your past sins and make good karma. Devout Hindus come to have their relatives cremated, at a hefty sum. Meanwhile next to the burning ghats, from which the ashes are scattered in the river, locals brush their teeth, take a piss, wash their buffalo, do the laundry... Posted by Hello
